Dr.Anjana Hulse is one of the very few pediatric endocrinologists in Bangalore. She graduated from Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences, Bangalore. She trained in pediatrics in some of the premier institutions in U.K including General Infirmary at Leeds and Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow. Following 5 years of pediatric training, she obtained MSc (clinical) in pediatric endocrinology with distinction from the University of Glasgow and RHSC. RHSC is a tertiary center for pediatric endocrinology. She has also visited Sick Kids’ hospital, Toronto, Canada for two months where she had further exposure in metabolic bone disorders and type 1 diabetes in children. She has been working at Apollo hospitals, Bangalore since October 2011.
Dr. Hulse’s areas of special interest in pediatric endocrinology includes problems related to growth and puberty, thyroid problems, obesity and diabetes in children.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Kannada, Dr. Hulse ensures effective communication with diverse families, making them comfortable during consultations.

Assessment of growth velocity in premature infants and correlation with nutritional intake and medical factors. Presented at European Academy of Pediatrics Annual Meeting, 2008, Paris. Thesis: The relationship between capillary 17-hydroxyprogesterone profiles, growth velocity and glucocorticoid therapy in congenital adrenal hyperplasia – accepted for the degree of MSc, University of Glasgow.

Dr. Anjana Hulse has authored many clinical research papers and text book chapters. Her clinical work has been presented at several pediatric endocrinology conferences. Her current clinical research interests include type 1 diabetes and precocious puberty in children.
