About Dr Gandhe Sridhar

Dr. Gandhe Sridhar is one of India's foremost Transplant Nephrologists, with over 20 years of high-volume clinical practice at the apex of both public and private healthcare in Telangana. He has performed over 900 renal transplants encompassing live donor, cadaveric, ABO-incompatible, SWAP, combined liver-kidney, and sequential multi-organ procedures. He is the pioneer of the Swap Kidney Transplantation Registry in Telangana, one of very few nephrologists in the country to offer the full spectrum of complex transplant modalities under a single programme. Formerly Chief Nephrologist and Head of Department at Global Hospitals, Hyderabad — an ISN C-Level Sister Centre paired with the Department of Nephrology, St. Bartolo Hospital, Vicenza, Italy — Dr. Sridhar led one of Asia's largest Peritoneal Dialysis programmes and established comprehensive CRRT, MARS, and Prometheus liver dialysis services. He holds 9 peer-reviewed indexed publications including a landmark Randomised Controlled Trial in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN), has presented original research at the World Congress of Nephrology (Vancouver 2011; Milan 2009), the ISPD Asian Chapter Meeting (Beijing 2009), and the ISPD World Congress (Mexico 2010), and has trained multiple DNB Nephrology postgraduates. His academic output, programme-building credentials, and procedural volume position him unequivocally among the top tier of practising transplant nephrologists in India.
